Demo: Composing with a computer and starting your canvas An introduction to the possibilities of using a computer to fine tune shapes, create composite figures, and develop compositions for paintings . This will be followed by a demonstration on how to transfer an image to canvas for further development

Workshop: Creating stronger drawings with black & white conte on toned paper Using black and white conte on a mid-value paper (grey or brown). This is a very effective medium/technique for producing powerful drawings that will have a stronger three dimensional appearance than that achieved by the usual darkening of a white sheet of paper. I will begin by showing examples and demonstrating this method.
