PFLAG Monthly Meeting

Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) promotes the health and well-being of LGBTQ people their families and friends through:

  • support ~ to cope with an adverse society
  • education ~ to inform and enlighten the public,
  • to promote tolerance and inclusivity

PFLAG Canada - York Region holds monthly support meeting on the fourth Tuesday of the month.

Attendees will learn how to create inclusive and accepting environments, and will learn what it's like to come out, or to have a family member or friend come out. Many resources are available to attendees, and of course there is always time for Q&A.

PFLAG provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.

Some meetings will have speakers on topics of current interest.

All meetings will provide a support segment.

All conversations held during the support component are considered confidential and do not go beyond our meeting space.

Refreshments and social chat follow all meetings.
