The Richmond Hill Historical Society has invited George Duncan to speak about Historic Unionville, a village in the city.

George Duncan is an architectural historian interested in the documentation of Ontario’s heritage buildings, local history and cultural landscapes. He has authored several books and numerous articles on local history, early buildings and issues around heritage conservation. His best-known work in print is York County Mouldings from Historic Interiors, originally published by the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario in 2001, with a second edition published by Lee Valley Tools Ltd.

George Duncan’s most recent publication is Historic Unionville – A Village in the City (2015)  is a guided tour of 200 years of history and architecture in the picturesque village of Unionville in the city of Markham.

All are invited to attend. Guest fee: $5. Memberships are available.
