The Richmond Hill Small Business Enterprise Centre (SBEC) is an innovative public-private sector alliance, belonging to a network of nearly fifty small business enterprise centre’s across the Province.

SBEC provides a one-stop source of services and programs for Richmond Hill’s entrepreneurs and small businesses. Entrepreneurs have access to a wealth of services, that include:

- Consultations with knowledgeable business consultants.
- Free small business start-up kits.
- Seminars, workshops and networking events.
- Access to an extensive, centralized collection of current business related resources.
- Direct assistance with business plan preparation and market research.
- Access to various business professionals.
- Referrals to other business programs, services and associations.

Young Entrepreneurship Programs:

The Ontario Summer Company program provides full-time students (ages 15 to 29) with business training, mentoring and up to $3,000 to kick-start a new summer business. Learning how to run your own student business is one of the best summer jobs you can have. You get to be your own boss while learning what it takes to manage a business. Sales, marketing, bookkeeping, customer relationship management and networking are just a few of the highly useful skills you’ll develop. The Ontario Starter Company program provides young adults (ages 18 to 29) who are no longer in school an opportunity to start, grow or buy an existing business. Participants receive one-on-one guidance from a Small Business Consultant, access to business workshops on topics from writing a business plan and budgeting, to executing a marketing campaign. If eligible, participants can receive funding of up to $5,000 to help start, grow or buy an existing business and also mentoring from a local successful entrepreneur. www.ontario.ca/page/start-company-young-adults#!
