At this month's general meeting of the Richmond Hill Historical Society Pamela Vega will provide a brief overview of the Heritage Planner’s responsibilities, and how they relate to the Richmond Hill Historical Society.
As the Heritage and Urban Design Planner for the City of Richmond Hill, Pamela Vega is responsible for ensuring that the City’s cultural heritage resources are properly conserved in a rapidly changing environment. Prior to joining Richmond Hill, Pamela worked for other municipalities in the GTA including King, Oakville, Caledon, and Newmarket. She received her Honours B.A. in Anthropology (specializing in Archaeology) from McMaster University, and a graduate certificate in Collections Conservation Management from Fleming College.
In her spare time, Pamela enjoys running, playing “peekaboo” with her son, and taking part in her local climate action groups.
