This is an opportunity to study Art Clay silver from a world class teacher and artist, Lis-el Crowley
Art Clay Silver is made from fine silver particles suspended with water and a non toxic clay binder. After kiln or torch firing the piece is pure (.999) silver which never tarnishes.
1) Fire and Ice Workshop: May 16-17 from 10 am to 5 pm
Create a lovely piece combining dichroic glass and fine silver
All tools provided, material not included in registration fee.
Suitable for relative beginners to advanced
Workshop will cover
- design of your piece
- option to create your own dichroic glass cabochon
- bezel and bale forming
- best firing practices
- detailed start to finish creation of your own fine silver piece.
Cost: $300.00 ($250.00 if taking both workshops)
2) Art Nouveau Workshop - May 18 -19, 10 am to 5 pm
Art Clay Silver is very well suited to the lovely flowing lines of Art Nouveau
All tools provided, material not included in registration.
Workshop will cover
- the option of using the glass cabochons you have created in the previous workshop
- coil formation
- bezel creation or stones or dichroic glass
- design and joining
- detailed firing and finishing instruction.
Cost: $300.00 ($250 if taking both workshops)***$25.00 early bird discount if registered for both workshops before April 1, 2019.****
Most people will not use more than 25 grams of silver clay per workshop, which will be available for purchase at $65.00 Can. You have the option of bringing your own material.
These workshops are currently about 1/2 the cost of current US workshop prices.
