Climate Change 301 - summary of government tools available, including carbon pricing

Event Date:
Thursday, October 10, 2019 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

In this presentation there will be a summarizing of the kinds of options available to government in dealing with carbon emissions reduction legislation including subsidizing, incentivizing, emissions regulations, and carbon pricing.
With all the talk about carbon pricing being part of the solution to climate change, and possibly affecting voter decisions in the Canadian Federal Election of 2019, this topic will be a “must-include!” part of the discussion.

Discussion will be based on the excellent book, ”Designing Climate Solutions”, by Hal Harvey, but expert presenters and panelists will be part of the Question and Answer to follow.

Participants will be invited to peruse additional information available, and welcomed to connect with community groups working with the City of Richmond Hill’s Community Energy and Emissions Reductions (CEEP) stakeholders’ group.
