CUP OF CHEER, described as a comedic shakeup of every cheesy Christmas movie, will be screened indoors for the very first time!.
A parody of the Hallmark Channel lineup of romantic Christmas television movies, the film stars Storm Steenson as Mary, a journalist who returns to her hometown of Snowy Heights to write a story about small-town Christmas cheer, only to meet and fall in love with Chris, the owner of a hot chocolate shop at risk of failing due to the impending launch of a corporate chain competitor next door. It is reminiscent of the silly satire films like Airplane!; definitely not for the whole family.
The movie was directed by our very own Jake Horowitz in 2020 and made its world premiere at the 5 Drive-In in Oakville and was screened a few more times in various drive in’s throughout the province. It is time to bring the film indoors and the RHCPA will be the venue for the world premiere of the indoor screening!
