Compassionate York Region is looking forward to continuing to enhance the narative of compassion.
What is Compassionate Community York Region? It is a grassroots organization, that began about a year ago, that is set on weaving compassion into the social fabric of the community. www.compassionateyorkregion.ca It is part of The Charter for Compassion, an international movement to spread the co-creation of compassion. They have been having bi-monthly on-line meetings including people from across the globe.

To simplify connections between compassionate people, we are launching a movement to make everyone anonymously visible to each other on the Map of Co-creators (http://map.co-creators.website/). We have been selected to do beta testing for this project. We'll tell you more!

CYR has applied for a Quick Action Grant from CAMH-YR to have a designated Happy to Chat bench. Councillor Raika Sheppard will join us in telling you about this initiative.
