Introductory Workshop on Centring Prayer. Hosted by Richmond Hill United Church

Event Date:
Saturday, September 26, 2020 - 1:00pm to 5:00pm

Do you feel pulled in all directions?
In need of calm in these challenging times?
Do you want to deepen your prayer life?
Are you seeking a more intimate relationship with God?

During the workshop, (via Zoom), participants will explore the history and biblical basis of contemplative prayer (or meditation) and go over the guidelines for practicing Centring Prayer.

Centring Prayer is a contemporary approach to an ancient prayer practice. It is an easy-to-learn Christian meditation practice described as a training course for opening to the presence of God.

The Intro Workshop is followed by 4 weekly sessions of 1 hour each.
All sessions include: a 20-minute prayer period; a video presentation on the principles and method of Centring Prayer; and a Q & A period.
These sessions will be from 6:30 – 7:30 pm on the following Wednesdays: September 30, October 7, 14 and 21.

For more information, or to register, email [email protected]. You will be sent the link to Zoom as well as other materials for the workshop.

We all need a place of calm and centred peace, especially in these challenging times.
