Session 1 - November 19: The Breath–The Gateway To Mental Quietude

  •   Mind-breath connection.
    o   Why and how.
  • Deep breathing for relaxation
    o   3 parts to every breath
  • Meditation–Focus: Body
    o   Posture
    o   Stillness of the body and mind

Session 2 November 26: Vital Life Energy

  • The connection between cosmic energy (prana) and your breath
    o   The benefits of prana
  • Yogic breathing
    o   Engaging the abdomen while breathing
  • Meditation: Focus: Breath
    o   Watching the breath
    o   Your meditation seat
    o   The best time for meditation

Session 3 - December 3: Balancing The Energy Flow

  • The Sun and Moon energy channels in the right and left nostrils
  • Alternate nostril breathing
    o   Hand posture and benefits
  • Meditation: Focus: Mind
    o   Learning how to harness the thoughts
    o   Use of affirmations

Session 4 - December 17: Aligning Body, Breath And Mind

  • Putting it all together: yogic breathing and alternate nostril breathing
  • Meditation–Focus: Body, Breath & Mind
    o   I am the silent observer
