COVID has had a strong impact on the mental health of our entire community. Now, more than ever, there is a strong need for mental health education.
Mental Health First Aid is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem, experiencing the worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. Just like physical first aid is provided until medical treatment can be obtained, MHFA is given until appropriate support is found or until the crisis is resolved.
MHFA had been an in person training program. It is now being offered virtually.
The re-vamped program is now 8 hours with 3 modules:
- Module 1 - Independent on-line learning - 2 hours
- Module 2 -Virtual classroom module - 3 hours (9 am to 12pm)
- Module 3 - Virtual classroom module - 3 hours (1 pm to 4 pm)
Modules 2 and 3 are provided via Zoom, on March 29, 9 am to 4 pm, and will be facilitated by Susan Kagan and Jen Bromley
Course Fee: $195.00. Click HERE for more information and to register
