The Richmond Hill Centre (RHC) is an intensification area located around the intersection of Yonge Street and Highway 7.
The Richmond Hill Centre is identified as an Urban Growth Centre by the Province in the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2017. It is also identified as a Regional Centre in both the York Region Official Plan and the Richmond Hill Official Plan. The Centre will accommodate a large portion of the new residents expected to move to Richmond Hill over the next 10-20 years.
Unique in the GTA, Richmond Hill Centre will be built around the intersection of five modes of public transit, including the Yonge Subway extension, the Richmond Hill GO line, the Highway 407 Transitway, Viva bus rapid transit, and local GO and YRT buses.
This is the second open house for the Richmond Hill Centre Secondary Plan study. The first public consultation event was held on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. Please see www.Richmondhill.ca/RhCentre for more details
