The Richmond Hill Computer Technology Volunteers “RH-CTV” is a group of volunteer technology enthusiasts.
The group aims to enhance the digital literacy skills of seniors across our community and make them feel comfortable with what has become an integral part of modern life – computers, tablets and smartphones.
If you are an older adult and believe you could be better at using technology you will want to attend!!
This group meets the first and third Saturday of the month.
9:00-10:00 am – Round Table Q&A
This segment will begin with a “Saturday Mind-Twister”, followed by a short presentation on "How technology can work for you". Topics will range from software applications and their use, or features of phones, tablets/computers, including Android, Apple or Windows O/S. A Q&A session would then follow providing attendees with the opportunity to ask questions on how technology affects you.
10:00 – 11:00 am - Tech News and Insights
This segment will provide participants with a more generalized view of technology covering different topics and how our daily lives are affected. The segment may include a more in-depth presentation or an open discussion. A Q&A session would then follow providing attendees with the opportunity to ask questions.
The Information Sessions will be held virtually until the McConaghy Centre reopens. To attend the in-person sessions at the McConaghy Centre, you must have a 55+ Membership and register on-line for the sessions. For those who cannot attend in person, you can still join us virtually via Zoom.
