Forest Church draws on ancient spiritual traditions when sacred places and practices were outside and contemporary research that highlights the benefits of spending time in natural places.
Forest Church isn't just a normal church service happening outside; we attempt to participate with nature through walks, meditation, prayer, activities, time alone and with the group.
Three Rivers Forest Church is based in Richmond Hill, the epicentre for three major rivers being the Humber, Don and Rouge, with their waters seeping into the moraine and out to Lake Ontario.
This month participants will meet at the Bethesda Road parking lot of the Jefferson Forest for a meditation walk and a "create your own ritual" activity.
The maximum number of participants limited to 25.
Dress warmly and feel free to invite others who are interested in connecting with the divine in nature.
Pandemic protocols are followed so please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
The group leaves after about an hour, refreshed from being in creation and being together.
Newcomers and seekers are welcome!
For more information, please call the group's leader James at 647-705-2754.
