105.9 The Region, in partnership with York Regional Police Association, are pleased to announce Random Acts of Christmas. During the month of November and the first week of December we will be inviting people of York Region to nominate an individual, family or organization that could use help in making their holiday season merry and bright.
All you have to do is provide the name of the person, family or organization, the contact information and what it is they need, and we will try to see if we can provide it. While funds are limited, we encourage everyone to pay it forward by identifying people in need so that we can make sure that we do our part to make their world a better place. The York Regional Police Association has generously provided the funding for this initiative and 105.9 The Region is honoured to have been chosen to be part of it. We do expect some additional help from advertisers and by knowing what people need this will allow us to identify which companies we should be contacting.
It may be that the person being nominated would not like to be identified in any public way and that is ok. We will still need their name and contact to make the gift delivery but we will guarantee that they are only identified as an anonymous recipient in all materials. Can think of several people who are deserving? That’s ok, nominate them all. We will do our best to help as many as possible. Think an organization needs some help? That’s ok too. Nominate an agency helping those in need and we will allot some funds to them as well.
