Salvation Army Back-to-School Program. Can you help?

less than 1 minute

Last year, through the community's support and generosity, the local Salvation Army was able to give out back packs to 254 kids from 102 families in Richmond Hill and Vaughan.

It is such a beautiful thing to see the smiles on the kids as they receive their new back-packs full of school supplies. It gives them and their families hope for a brighter tomorrow, and this is made possible because of the generosity of members of our community who support Salvation Army's annual Back-to-School program.

For their annual Back-to-School program this year, they will be giving out back packs to kids in need from August 20 to August 24 and from August 27 to August 31.

The following items needed are:

  • backpacks
  • math sets
  • graph paper
  • duo tangs
  • scissors
  • subject dividers
  • pencil sharpeners
  • binders
  • pens
  • pencils
  • coloring pencils
  • calculator
  • pencil cases
  • lunch bags

But any school-related items are also welcome!!

Monetary donation can also be made to help us purchase some of the school supplies.
