February 25th is the event date but most of the work is done before that.
The Coldest Night of the Year is a walk that raises money for people in our community who need our help. Some of them hungry, more than a few hurting and regrettably, some who are homeless too. Adults, moms and kids, seniors and youth as well.
The walk will be in person this year after 2 years of being a virtual event. It will be a fun event. But more importantly, there will be a raising of funds and awareness of homelessness in our community. Last year, over 31,000 walkers across Canada joined this event raising just under $12 million dollars - it's Canada's National Walk for Homelessness.
Our Richmond Hill location did well. W all have to work extra hard this year to raise the needed funds.
