Artist Soheila Esfahani will lead participants in learning the introductory techniques of Islamic calligraphy using qalam (traditional reed pen) and ink. Participants will then create artworks inspired by calligraphy.
No previous experience is necessary.
Soheila Esfahani is an award-winning Iranian Canadian visual artist. Her work has been exhibited at the Aga Khan Museum, Canadian Cultural Centre Paris, Doris McCarthy Gallery, Cambridge Art Galleries among others and currently is exhibited at the Central Branch. Soheila Esfahani
