David looks forward to welcoming spring and sweet maple syrup with a free, all ages community festival at Richmond Green Sports Complex
Together with community partners, sponsors, and community, there will be activities for all ages – educational sessions, entertainment, community tables and….. a Pancake Breakfast with real maple syrup.
This is a festival that reflects the passion David shares with generations of his family and their life long relationship with the maple syrup making process.
So,
- Enjoy a Free Pancake Breakfast (while supplies last)
- Interact with over 40 Community Groups and Organizations serving Richmond Hill
- Celebrate a Canadian springtime tradition with a walk through the “Maple Trail” including:
- maple syrup making demonstrations,
- maple tasting station (while supplies last)
- maple taffy making (while supplies last), and
- traditional tree tapping demonstration
- a horse drawn wagon ride (12-3 p.m.)
- Indigenous Welcome and Official opening ceremony with Grandmother Wheatley
- Musical entertainment all day
- “Trees Please” presentations by Professor Pricklethorn

The Richmond Hill Historical Society is selling local maple syrup for sale, in various sizes. Cash or debit/credit.
