It was a beautiful day to have this official announcement of $6.1 million funding to support the construction of a new pathway and foot bridge at the Richmond Hill David Dunlap Observatory Park.
Pedestrian Bridge
- spans 50 meters over the CN railway
- for pedestrians and cyclists
- open year round

- 680 meter asphalt
- east-west corridor, connecting to other greenways, including at Yonge & 16th
Also included
- lighting
- way-finding signage
MP Majid Jowhari spoke about the importance of investing in infrastructure including public spaces.
Mayor David West acknowledged the incredible work that the City staff did to complete this funding application.
The work is expected to begin next year and be completed the following year.
