Help a Girl Out is a local charity the aims to end period poverty.
One thing that they are doing is sewing reusable pads. Special fabrics are used.
The use of reusable pads not only addresses the issue of not being able to afford the products it also eliminates waste.
The goal is to have many people sewing these products. Sewing machines are needed. Serger sewing machines would be very welcome.
Do you have a sewing machine, that is portable and in good working order, that is taking up space and you'd be happy to have it find a good home?
