It’s a beloved Richmond Hill tradition - the 57th annual Winter Carnival! It’s set for Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 7 and 8, 2026, at Mill Pond Park.
There is a fun mix of traditional and new events and activities, perfect for families to enjoy.
Enjoy children’s games and crafts, the creative wood carver, children’s colouring contest, birds of prey displays, live entertainment, hot drinks, food trucks, photos with Ookpik,
Wing Eating Contest and Spaghetti Dinner - Saturday, February 7th

Ookpik, the selfie-magnet mascot, invites everyone to enjoy carnival weekend.
Meet new carnival friends, Labubu and Chase from Paw Patrol and rare black-faced sheep from Aberdeen Acres.
Enjoy selfie/Instagram stations, trackless train rides, snowshoe fun and many other family-friendly activities!
All events and features, organized by a volunteer committee, are contingent on weather.
As always, admission is free, but we encourage you to purchase a $3 carnival button to support the volunteer-run carnival and win prizes.
