The City of Richmond Hill is reviewing its existing Zoning By-laws to develop a new Comprehensive Zoning By-law that will carry out the policies and vision of the City’s Official Plan.
The new Comprehensive Zoning By-law will be:
- user friendly, easy to administer, enforce and understand;
- reflective of current and emerging planning and development practices and trends; and,
- fully accessible online in an interactive format.
The focuses are:
- City-wide parking and loading requirements
- Neighbourhoods
- Yonge and 16th/Carrville Key Development Area
- Newkirk Local Centre
- Oak Ridges Local Centre
- Village Local Centre
As is mandated the city is hosting this open house.

Your input will be taken into consideration in the development the Strategic Directions Reports that will be presented to Council for endorsement in September 2024.
