Breakout 1: Housing options & Solutions going forward - Discuss different ways to create and maintain affordable housing in our communities: Flatpack/modular/tiny homes, co-housing, regulated rooming houses, financing options, rent control, vacancy control, vacant homes tax.
Breakout 2: Programs, Services and Supports for Tenants -Explore the programs and services available to tenants, including eviction prevention and regional supports. Discuss what’s working, what’s missing, and how these supports could better meet your needs.
Breakout 3: Human Rights in Housing - Learn about tenant rights and housing equity. Together, identify challenges, share experiences, and brainstorm ways to make housing fair and accessible for everyone.
Breakout 4: Open Discussion – YOUR VOICE MATTERS - Tell us what you want us to know? Join an open discussion where your lived experiences guide the conversation. Share your priorities, highlight challenges, and work with others to generate practical solutions that can improve housing in our community.
