More than 17,000 York Region residents live with dementia.
The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s raises awareness of dementia, a fatal disease, and funds to support the Alzheimer Society of York Region and the programs and services it provides to those who live with the disease and their care partners.
All funds raised in York Region stays in York Region.
Check-in at 8 a.m., with the walk beginning at 9 a.m.
It's a 1.3 kilometre-walk.
The event also includes entertainment including music, a balloon twister and face painting, and snacks.
