Ward 2 Councillor, Scott Thompson, has organized, in collaboration with Climate Action Richmond Hill, ECO Family Fest!

The event's focus is how climate change is driving innovation across all sectors, particularly those in transportation.

The aim is to show our community how simple, positive choices can make a significant impact on the environment, the climate, and our health.​

This event is endorsed by the United Nations University, recognizing it as a significant initiative in promoting sustainable practices and climate action, The United Nations University will be showcasing its ongoing projects and activities alongside other leading organizations, innovative startups, and passionate activists dedicated to combating climate change and promoting sustainable development.

Event Highlights:

  • Outdoor Displays and Booths: A designated space for EVs and information booths to engage with residents.
  • Indoor Presentations and Booths: a presentation by Climate Action Richmond Hill, emphasizing the importance of sustainable transportation and energy solutions and other related booths.
  • Networking Opportunities: Connect with other sustainability-focused organizations and community leaders.
  • Support Local Climate Action: Contribute to our goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
