Two of the artists with the Richmond Hill Group of Artistsa are offering Summer Arts Programs.
1) Children’s Summer Art Classes – ages 8 to 16, weekday mornings – 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Instructor - Olga Senyk (see above)
Dates:
- Week 1 – July 26, 27, 28, 29 & 30 – 5 mornings, $280, materials included
- Week 2 – August 3, 4, 5 & 6 – 4 mornings, $225, materials included
- Week 3 – August 9, 10, 11, 12 & 13 – 5 mornings, $280, materials included
Maximum 8 students
Olga has been teaching the fundamentals of art to children for 35 years, in a variety of media such as watercolour, acrylic, mixed media , sculpture , clay and collage, always striving to improve the child’s observation, imagination and motor skills.
Your child will be introduced to different surfaces and a variety of mediums to allow their creative expressions to shine through, all in a fun nurturing environment.
Plans for the Summer Art Program
- Drawing outdoors on location and in the studio from imagination or still life
- Painting – Introduction to abstract painting using acrylic & mixed media
- Sculptural – Papier Mache
- Clay – making clay animals, plates, or bowls etc. & more if the time allows

About Olga:
Her teaching method has come from The John Smith School of Art, Toronto. IShe has been teaching children the fundamentals of art for 30 years (mixed media) & adults in oil for 4 years, and has been a potter for 15 years producing thousands of functional & sculptural pieces. Her art can be seen in many private collections. She continues to learn and grow as an artist and teacher.
2) Children’s Summer Art Classes – ages 6 to 12, weekday mornings – 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Instructor - Roxana Khoshsokhan (BEEROX)
- Week 1 – Aug 16, 17, 18, 19 & 20
- Week 2 – Aug 23, 24, 25, 26 & 27
- Week 3 – Aug 30, 31, Sept 1, 2 & 3
Cost – $290 (including materials)
A week full of Art activities such as:
- Sculptures with polymer clay,
- Painting on Fabric,
- Acrylic on Canvas,
- Drawing,
- Character Design & Set Design. (The kids will design a set as a team. Individually they will create their desired character based on the theme provided.)
Children will present their creations on the last day of the week at the Mill Pond Gallery. Parents are welcome to attend the presentation on Fridays 10 min before ending class.

Roxana Khoshsokhan (BEEROX) is a designer, sculptor, graphic and visual artist.
She was born and raised in a family of artists and art-lovers, so it was natural for her to pursue a creative education, earning a BofA in Industrial Design and a Masters Degree in Car Design and Mobility from the world renowned Domus Academy, Milan.
Roxana worked for a variety of luxury brands including Audi Design, Christian Grande Yacht Design, Gino Finizio Design Management and LG electronics. Roxana continued her education at George Brown College in Toronto studying Fashion Techniques and Design and subsequently worked in the fashion design industry.
Roxana is following her passion to create and teach.
She teaches children’s courses for the York Region Catholic District School Board and the Mill Pond Gallery.
