Arsheen Devjee will be the presenter
Connecting the Community has been meeting for more than 15 years. It has morphed over time. Currently the meetings are at the Central Library (2nd floor, Meeting Room A). They are open to anyone who would like to connect the community. There is a presenter each week, and that guides the discusssion.
This week Arsheen Devjee will be talking about Connecting Gaza, which is an organization of concerned people from all over the world. It is led by a Canadian rabbi. People are connected via Whats App to Gazans on the ground.
We help the Gazans by sending cash, connecting them with other aid groups on the ground, and providing emotional support of just being there and holding their hand through the horror of their situation.
Arsheen will be talking about 3 families that she has been involved with in particular and relaying their stories over the past 3 years.
She will also be talking about how to get involved and spread the word.
A discussion will follow Arsheen's presentation.
If you've not attended before, or its been quite a while, please let Marj Andre, CTC's facilitor, know that your coming. [email protected]
