Ink Spots of Richmond Hill: Paintings Made with Ink from Material Foraged in Richmond Hill

Event Date:
Saturday, January 25, 2025 - 11:00am to Sunday, January 26, 2025 - 5:00pm

This special art exhibit is part art show and part educational experience.

It will feature ten different artists and thirty ink paintings.

These paintings are all made with ink produced from locally foraged plants and trees.

You will be amazed at the variety of rich coloured inks that can be made from plant and tree materials found right here in Richmond Hill.

Discover and learn what colours can be made from black walnut, sumac, wild grape, acorn caps, goldenrod, beech leaves, and buckthorn and then marvel at the ink paintings that feature how this ink can be used to create art.

The Mill Pond Gallery is located in the heart of historic Richmond Hill, across from the beautiful Mill Pond Park.

Free parking and no admission fee
All are welcome!

This project is a recipient of a City of Richmond Hill Community and Culture Grant.
