The Glass Case Gallery is once again occupied with a very interesting exhibit.

Par Nair is an Indian born interdisciplinary artist and educator who lives and makes in the Greater Toronto Area. Her practice which centres around oil paintings, hand embroidery, installation, and creative writing focus on dual identities and fragmented realities of migrants.

Invisible Threads: Stories of Mothers, Migration & Resilience - on display at Central Branch in the Glass Case Gallery on the main floor from Aug. 30–Nov. 10.

There is a workshop an embroidery p with the artist Saturday October 5th, 10:30 at the Central Libray. Par will guide participants to create a portrait using hand embroidery. Cost: $25. Pre-registration is required.  Click HERE
