Presented by: Maria A. Weber, PhD, Assistant Professor of Physics & Director of Wiley Planetarium ,R.L. Wiley Professor of Sciences, Division of Mathematics and Sciences, Delta State University.
She will talk about the space weather and our Sun. You will learn practical information about Our Sun, how to watch Aurora Borealis : Northern Lights, how solar cycle affects us and how do we observe the Sun.
There is also Geminid Meteor Showers on December 13 evening. Itis the best shower of winter skies and we plan to have a watch party during the program (weather permitting).
DDO 74-inch Telescope viewing will be provided (weather permitting).
