This is a beginner-friendly introduction to the wonderful world of paper quilling with esteemed Artist-Instructor Hyunah Yi.
Paper quilling is a captivating and intricate art form that involves rolling and shaping thin strips of paper to create decorative designs.
In this workshop, you will learn all of the basic techniques of paper quilling, starting with creating coils, the foundation of most paper quilling shapes. From there, you will learn how to arrange these coils into a delicately designed card, featuring ‘Spring Blooms’, including a daffodil, English daisy, and a Forgetmenot.
Materials provided upon payment of $5.00 fee to instructor at workshop, which includes 180g paper, 3mm quilling paper, protective cellophane sleeve, and envelope.
Those who wish to purchase a frame can pay an additional $8.00 fee.
All participants will be able to use instructor-provided quilling needles, tweezers, glue and scissors for the duration of the workshop.

Korean-Canadian artist Hyunah Yi breathes life into paper. The art of paper quilling has been her longtime passion and joy, and the creation of beautiful and timeless artworks is her mission. A freelance artist for over 23 years, Hyunah’s works can be found in various shops throughout Canada and on Etsy.com. Intricate and elegant, her works are inspired by the diverse beauty in nature with a focus on floral arrangements and whimsical creatures. Along with art, Hyunah loves gardening and planting, and spends many summer days in her backyard.
