Free mapping tool makes it easier to plan ahead and navigate trails

The City, Richmond Hill Mobility Accessibility Foundation (RH Mobility) and AccessNow have teamed up to make recreational trails more accessible and promote safe, inclusive adventures in Richmond Hill.

Through this partnership, funded by RH Mobility, seven of the City’s longest recreational trails have been accessibility-mapped and uploaded to the AccessNow app and website, including:

  • Saigeon Trail
  • Trans Richmond Trail
  • Beaver Greenway Trail
  • Richvale Greenway Trail
  • Thomas Broadhurst Trail
  • Humber Flats EcoPark
  • Rouge River Headwaters Trail

App users will be able to see up-to-date information on levels of accessibility, surface materials, general grade/slope conditions, access points, amenities (likes benches and washrooms) and parking, so they can plan ahead, navigate the trail systems more easily and have a more enjoyable trail experience.

Users can also share reviews and photos of their trail experiences through the app.

The free AccessNow app is available for download on the Apple app store and Google Play
