Music helps with Mental Health
High Notes Avante is excited that they are able to offer free music lessons on piano and guitar and a choir.
Guitar lessons - Saturday mornings at Richmond Hill United Church (RHUC) and around the availability of the instructors in their studios located in the same geographical vicinity.
Choir - Mondays from 7-9 pm starting Monday September 19 at RHUC and online on Friday mornings (10:30 am) starting September 9th.
Piano (& keyboard) - Mondays, Wednesdays & Saturdays at RHUC, according to the available schedule of our highly qualified teachers.
Virtual lessons may also be an option.
High Notes Avante (HNA) is offering these programs because they believe in and have evidence that music heals. In an ideal world, everyone should have the opportunity to learn to express themselves through music. They can accomodate 20 people (ages 14-25 prioritized) for the individual music lessons and up to 40 people of all ages for the choir.
The programs are offered at no charge. They do welcome donations via CanadaHelps. HNA produces image-raising concerts and events and offer online and in-person programs using the power of the arts to help those affected move forward on higher notes
Please email [email protected] or phone416 605-8915 to access the programs.
These programs are funded by a South-Central Richmond Hill Community Quick Action grant & the Richmond Hill Hall Charitable Association.
