As the City continues to implement its Traffic Safety and Operations Strategy (TSOS), 18 new priority locations have been identified in Richmond Hill to receive traffic calming measures in 2025.

The City is hosting a series of in-person public education sessions to share important information about traffic safety measures that are planned to be installed across the city in 2025.

  • Wednesday, September 25, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.  Ward 6 - Langstaff Community Centre
  • Thursday, September 26, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m  Ward 1Oak Ridges Community Centre
  • Tuesday, October 1, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Ward 3 Bayview Hill Community Centre
  • Monday, October 7, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Ward 2 - Elgin Barrow Arena
  • Wednesday, October 9, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Ward 4Elgin West Community Centre
  • Thursday, October 10, 7 – 9 p.m. Ward 5Richvale Community Centre

The Traffic Safety and Operations Strategy is a 10 year plan that sets out policy directions, programs and tools that will allow the City to proactively manage vehicular traffic and address pedestrian and cycling safety across Richmond Hill.

Managing traffic while keeping pedestrians and cyclists safe is a top priority for Richmond Hill as the city continues to grow and mature.
