Volunteer Opportunities for Teens
Volunteering at the Library is your chance to give back to your community while gaining meaningful experiences. Teens (Grades 9-12) can earn volunteer hours through various opportunities, which may include offering assistance at library events, helping children learn to read, and answering tech questions. Register with the City of Richmond Hill’s volunteer portal for year-round opportunities with RHPL.
Classroom Visits for Educators
RHPL offers free, virtual classroom visits designed to support educators and engage students in learning.
- On Sept. 20, students in Grades 3-4 can celebrate Science Literacy Week with Solar Power Hour, a virtual coding workshop on solar energy, brought to you by Kids Code Jeuness.
- On Oct. 12, Linh Nguyen, talented author of the middle-grade fantasy novel, No Place Like Home, will share her journey as a writer with Grade 5-6 classrooms and discuss how her experiences as a Vietnamese immigrant in Canada have influenced her work.
