Leah Taylor Roy - MP Aurora Oak Ridges Richmond Hill
As a long-time resident of York Region, Leah passionately believes in strengthening and protecting our community through important issues such as environmental protection and affordability.
Growing up in a political household, Leah quickly learned the importance of civic duty. She earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and a Master of Public Policy degree from Harvard University. She then pursued a career in the small business and non-profit industries.
Elected to the House of Commons in 2021, Leah is tirelessly advocating for some of the most critical issues in Aurora-Oak Ridges-Richmond Hill and around Canada.
In addition to her role as Member of Parliament, she is currently a member of two standing committees in the House of Commons: Environment and Sustainable Development, and Agriculture and Agri-Food. She is also a member of several parliamentary associations and interparliamentary groups.
Leah’s dedication to her constituency is illustrated through her work in establishing the Aurora-Oak Ridges-Richmond Hill Constituency Youth Council and her continuous advocacy work in protecting the environmental lands in the riding. Leah looks forward to hearing from you and addressing your concerns in all aspects.
Leah is married to Peter Roy and has four sons and two daughters together. Aside from politics, Leah enjoys hiking the amazing trails in the Oak Ridges Moraine.
