This is a program offered by the City of Richmond Hill supporting arts and culture projects to create a vibrant community.
Embark on a creative journey in this workshop, where the magic of watercolour meets the precision of ink.
Professional Photographer and Artist Nancy Falconi will take you step by step through the process of transferring a photographic image onto a paintable acrylic surface, where a botanical image will be provided.
Participants will then combine the image transfer with watercolour paint, layering washes of colour. You will then capture the unique form of the flower with lines of ink emphasizing the delicacy within the details of the botanical image.
By the end of the class you will have learned how to transfer images, combined with watercolour and ink to create photographic paintings.
Nancy will guide you step by step from choosing and mixing colours to producing a finished piece. The skills you learn in this workshop will enable you to create mixed media paintings on your own flowers using photographs of your own.
