City joins businesses and government officials to spotlight Canada
The City of Richmond Hill is excited to champion local technology and innovation at Hannover Messe 2025, the world’s largest industrial trade fair and conference in Hanover, Germany, from March 31 to April 4.
And to note, this trade mission was planned well before Trump's tariff wars and the growing desire to diversify our trading partners.
Canada is this year’s featured country, spotlighting our nation’s skilled talent, innovation and commitment to sustainable solutions.
Richmond Hill is home to a variety of leading high-tech companies making an impact in these featured areas.
The City is incredibly proud that Richmond Hill’s own Maple Advanced Robotics Inc. (located on West Beaver Creek)just won Hannover Messe’s 2025 Robotics Award for their Autonomous Adaptable Robotic System, an AI-driven robotics platform that facilitates rapid, no-code programming.
Mayor David West will attend Hannover Messe 2025 along with Richmond Hill Economic Development staff members to explore investment and trade opportunities and partnerships. They will join representatives from all levels of Canadian government along with local and nation-wide businesses in showing the world that our community and our country are the partner of choice for innovative advanced manufacturing solutions that are green, digital and resilient.
“We have a lot of smart people here in Richmond Hill with a lot of great ideas! Hannover Messe showcases industrial trends and transformations that attract decision makers from around the world. This trade fair offers us the opportunity to talk with companies who may be interested in having a Canadian operation, and it also allows us to showcase the amazing innovative companies that we have in our city. With the given economic situation, any opportunity to spotlight local business and help them to expand where they sell their products and services is positive. I’m looking forward to the trade mission and helping to make this happen.” states Mayor David West
