Christmas Kettle Campaign - Volunteers needed!

Get in the Christmas spirit!

It's that time of year again when The Salvation Army in Richmond Hill launches their annual Christmas Kettle Campaign.

The annual Campaign is the largest fundraising drive of the year for The Salvation Army helping local children, adults, families and newcomers to Canada with the necessities of life, such as food, clothing and shelter. The on-going economic uncertainty has drastically affected the most vulnerable who are already struggling in our community.

Last year, the Salvation Army Richmond Hill helped more than 4800 adults and at-risk individuals with food, clothing, counseling and advocacy, distributed toys and food to over 350 families through the annual Christmas Assistance program and provided over 250 children with backpacks and school supplies. So far this year, coats have already been collected and distributed to over 2000 children and adults.

The annual Christmas Kettle Campaign for The Salvation Army would not be possible without the hundreds of kettle workers who volunteer their time. They would LOVE for you to join in and become a Christmas Kettle Hero!  It's a beautiful way to give back this season without wrestling with tangled Christmas lights or baking 500 cookies!!!

Stand next to a Salvation Army kettle, smile, and spread a little Christmas cheer. No special skills needed—if you can jingle a bell, you’re already overqualified!

It’s a chance to wear your favorite Christmas sweater, perfect your Santa wave, and maybe become a local holiday celebrity. Plus, it’s all for a great cause—helping our community through the season of giving!

Individuals, families, businesses or community groups wishing to host a Christmas Kettle can register to volunteer by clicking HERE. You may need to scroll down to "The Salvation Army Richmond Hill Community Church"

If there is no one to be by the kettle the kettle is not out and the opportunity to collect donations is lost.  It's important that all shifts at all locations are filled.
