..and community organizations are invited to have a table!
Family Services of York Region is excited to share that the South-Central Richmond Hill Community Action Table (SCRHCAT) is hosting a Winter Fest (Feb. 28, 1 to 3, at Centennail Pool and Community Centre) for families in Richmond Hill this February, and they are asking for community involvmente and donations. for you to be involved!
This indoor, family-focused event will bring the community together in a warm, welcoming environment to access donated items and local resources. The Winter Fest will include fun activities for families, light refreshments, a book fair, and opportunities to connect with local organizations.
There are many ways to take part by donating items, hosting a resource table, sharing the event with Richmond Hill clients or community members, or simply stopping by to enjoy the winter vibes!
Donations
They will be distributing donated items to families in need on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies last. Items include, but are not limited to:
- Backpacks and school supplies (e.g., stationery)
- Winter clothing (hats, mittens, socks)
If you are interested in donating items or gift cards, please note the donation RSVP deadline: February 9, 2026.

Resource Tables
They also welcome partner organizations to host a resource table to share information about your programs and services.
Please note:
- Table spaces are first come, first served.
- They will accommodate as many partners as possible; table sharing may be arranged if needed.
- RSVP is required to reserve a table.
