Calling all Richmond Hill Artists - Three Community Mural Projects

less than 1 minute

To help commemorate Richmond Hill’s 150th anniversary, the City is commissioning three community mural projects to capture Richmond Hill’s past, present and future.

Richmond Hill artists are invited to apply for one or more of the following:

  • Community Mural – One artist or artist collective will be selected to paint an outdoor community mural from June 5-26 that will be unveiled on Canada Day
  • City Park Storage Bunkers Murals – Six artists will be chosen to paint murals on concrete storage bunkers in City parks
  • Bell Box Community Murals – Six to eight artists will be selected to paint murals on Bell Canada utility boxes throughout the City

Submissions will be evaluated based on your connection to Richmond Hill, experience with painting outdoor surfaces, your mural concept and a portfolio of past work. A jury of staff and community members with an arts and culture background will select artists.

Your inspiration for your mural can draw on the City’s anniversary brand story along with its colours.
