Under the baton and artistic direction of conductor Jasmina Vucurovic, the concert will include both sacred and traditional music from Choir's musical treasure.
The works of XIX and XX Century Slavic composers are sung a cappella. We hope you will enjoy the unique beauty of the polyphony of Christian Orthodox sacred music.
The Kir Stefan the Serb Choir is the official Choir of the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Canada. Over a quarter century of its existence, under the batton of the artistic director and conductor, Mrs. Jasmina Vučurović, the Kir Stefan the Serb Choir has developed a repertoire of over 200 compositions of sacred and secular music, performed 56 times in Canada and abroad, including 45 all-evening concerts. On the occasion of the Choir's 20th anniversary, the Cultural and Educational Association of Serbia awarded a Golden Pin to Mrs. Vučurović, and bestowed a Charter to the Choir as a whole, for the preservation and promotion of the Serbian music and cultural heritage in the diaspora.
