Come learn to make naturally leavened sourdough bread using wild yeast.
What you will learn:
- Basics of sourdough bread making at home
- How to start and maintain a sourdough culture
- Mixing, scaling, and proofing sourdough breads
- Rolling, shaping, and scoring sourdough breads
Items included in the course:
- 6 + hours of demonstration teaching and hands-on learning
- Your own sourdough starter in mason jar to take home
- Freshly baked loaf of sourdough bread made by you
They will provide ingredients, tools and bread oven to prepare and bake your own artisan country loaf.
Prepare the dough on day 1. The loaves will cold-ferment overnight in the fridge. You will return on Sunday Morning to bake your loaf. You will have a warm loaf of bread for Sunday lunch!
Please bring a bagged lunch on Saturday and snack for break.
