Volunteers are an integral part of our community... and the City wants to celebrate and recognize their contributions!

Know someone that is making a difference within our City? Nominate them for a 2025 Volunteer Achievement Award. 

Now in its 58th year, the City’s awards ceremony happens biennially in April during National Volunteer Week, recognizing individual volunteers, organizations and groups who make our community the vibrant place it is today.

Nomination categories include:

  • Volunteer Achievement Awards (Multiple Recipients)
  • Youth Volunteer Achievement Award (One Recipient)
  • Senior Volunteer Achievement Award (One Recipient)
  • Naim Malik Award for the Promotion of Intercultural Friendships (One Recipient)
  • Community Organization of the Year Award (One Recipient)
  • Citizen of the Year Award (One Recipient)

In addition, the City acknowledges clubs, organizations, associations, etc. that are celebrating the completion of 10, 15, 20 or 25+ years of service in the community with a special Milestone Anniversary Certificate.

The deadline to nominate a volunteer or request a certificate is Friday, November 15, 2024.
