Thirteen local artists have created the City’s 150th anniversary mural paintings, captured on Bell Boxes and storage bunkers throughout the community.

The purpose of the murals is to capture a sense of social connectivity and invoke community pride.

This project was funded by a federal grant the City received. These funds have supported various RH150 activities.

On Thursday, October 12, 2023 there was a celebration with artists and dignataries at Richmond Green.

The Honourable Pascale St-Onge, Minister of Canadian Heritage was able to attend. “Artistic and cultural activities are the foundation for healthy, vibrant communities. That’s why our government support projects that allow people from all walks of life to create bonds with each other. With this investment, we are helping highlight the 150th anniversary of Richmond Hill. Congratulations to everyone who will make this event a success!”
