With these express kiosks, members can borrow and return books on the go.
The express kiosks will be stocked with a selection of books for all ages and interests, making it a quick and convenient stop for your next great read.
The RHPL On the Go kiosks are part of the library's ongoing efforts to make library services more accessible and convenient for all Richmond Hill residents. Whether you’re taking your child to swimming lessons or on your way to work out at the fitness centre, our kiosks will provide a seamless way to borrow and return library books.

This is how it works
- Step 1 - Scan your library card below the screen with the barcode facing up, or tap "start" to enter your library card number on the screen.
- Step 2 - The door will unlock and slightly open. Use the handle to open the door and access your items.
- Step 3- If you are borrowing books, simply take them off the shelf. If you are returning books, place them in an empty space on any shelf with the book spine facing you.
- Step 4 - Close the door completely and wait while the machine checks for borrows and returns.
- Step 5 - Select how you would like to get your receipt: "print", "email", or "no" for none.
- Step 6 - Remember to take your library card and receipt from the machine.
