Let's Explore Richmond Hill - David Hamilton Park

1 min to read

The newly renovated David Hamilton Park is where the newly renovated Ed Sackfield Arena is (between Yonge & Bayview just south of 16th. The pandemic of course has restricted access to the arena, but the park can be explored.

The park’s theme is the seasons.  There are 4 areas and various details and structures present each season.

It is obvious as to when you go from one to another.

There are large structures but also, smaller details, that have you stop and read quotes.

Although there are benches to stop and sit and reflect the park is more a place to rev up and play.

During the weekdays the sounds of buzzers from the two adjacent elementary schools may jar you out of your inner thoughts

There are two children’s playgrounds with very nice tables with shade structures adjacent to them. It is a nice place to bring the little ones.

There are homes right on the edge of the park and you may sense that you are in someone’s backyard, and that this is their park.

Particularly if you're itching to go some place locally but want to stay safe outside and keeping your distance, this park is clean and safe and accessible, and hence a nice place to visit.
